WELCOME, FRIENDS OF THE CITY OF LAGUNA WOODS!
My name is Pearl Lee. My husband and I moved to Laguna Woods Village in 2018. Since becoming a part of this community, I've had the passion and privilege to work with other members of the community to help make Laguna Woods a wonderful place to live and visit.
I'm currently serving as Mayor Pro Tem on the Laguna Woods City Council and have been serving with the City Council as a Council Member since 2024. Prior to that, I was one of the United Mutual Directors for 3 years in Laguna Woods Village.
Before retiring and pivoting to public service, I owned and managed a small business providing assisted living services for 35 years. I was born in Daegu, South Korea and immigrated to the United States for university, where I obtained a degree in nutrition from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign.
I have two kids and five grandchildren. My hobbies include cooking, entertaining and playing and listening to music. I also love traveling, but of all these activities, what I enjoy most is spending time with my grandchildren.
